Ahhhh lovely weekend

Friday I met my parents at the airport. After making our way back to Putney in the pouring rain we found refuge in a cute local pub and filled up with fish and chips and a pint. Nice and realxing. Friday night we decided to try out a local restaurant that's literally a 2 minute walk from our flat - right in the middle of a residential area. We walk by Emile's all the time, but for some reason have never eaten there. Wow, fantastic! It was a great find - very high quality French food in the heart of Putney. We had a fantastic meal, great wine and a very yummy dessert!

Saturday we took it easy. Mom and I got in a bit of shopping (LOVE the shoes Mom - thanks again!), and then we headed down to Richmond in the afternoon for a bit of a stroll and hit a few pubs. It was a nice relaxing day! Saturday night we headed into the city, first having dinner at our favourite Italian place in Soho, Pulcinella. Then we went just down the road to one of the oldest jazz clubs in the world Ronnie Scotts. As Dad said 'it far exceeded my expectations.' It was great, fantastic musicians - really really amazing, cool venue, and overall a great night out! The star of the show was Avishai Cohen, he played the bass like no one I have ever seen - it was truely amazing! Also his pianist played 2 pianos at once! He had a baby grand that he played with his right hand, and a little keyboard on top that he played with his left hand. His drummer was amazing as well!
